What is your favorite book?
"Oh...that one is hard! I think there are so many awesome books, but there’s a book I remember fondly when I was a kid that I always go to and I really love it. It’s called Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto. It’s about this girl who tries on her Mom’s wedding ring, she’s not supposed to, but she’s really excited about it. But they start making tamales and then she realizes that she lost the ring and she thinks that it’s in the tamales. It’s just a really cute story about this young girl admiring her Mom, but also about the Latino culture and the custom of making tamales, and her learning a lesson in the process."
